This comes as a request to all the cityzen's of the area, to not throw their garbage, especially the non-biodegradable kind, into the canals in our area (or anywhere for that matter). There is a regular uptick in mosquito and other insect infestation in the area when the canals are so overburdened with garbage that a normal flow of water is close to impossible. After a walkin complaint from one of the resident societies nearby, we undertook this massive task of cleaning up the canal bed before the onset of the monsoon season. Hopefully this will solve the problem until residents start throwing their trash here again. Take care and wish you all a clean and healthy monsoon ahead.
