Hello Cityzen

So we are sitting at a usual "adda" for our daily dose of tea and friends, and there is an accident nearby, in fact so close that we could hear the man's moans. Lucky for him, he walked off with minor injuries. Once the initial flurry of activity subsided and the people involved walked off, almost all people in that place we were in, were talking about the cause(s) of that accident. All sorts of things like potholes, slight rain, crazy driving and what not were thrown into the air.

With an objective look at the situation, one could easily come to the conclusion that it was a little bit of everything. Yes the man was driving a little faster than he should, yes it had rained just a tiny bit, enough to create slippery conditions. Add to it the big SUV parked in a place which left little for the pedestrians, turning them into traffic (albeit without any wheels), or the electricity pole in the middle of nowhere, still waiting to be shifted in a place that does not cause a traffic nightmare. All this topped off by the person who suddenly decided that he needed some greens for dinner, which are so "conveniently" available right there on a narrow road.

Well this is as far as the problem definition can go, and we as Indians are pretty good at defining problems, right? But what about the solution? Which one factor would drastically change everything. The short answer is - Everything has to change for us to be able to see any substantial difference in the way we live. And therein lies the bigger problem, you see a ton of problems and you are easily procrastinating thinking this cannot be done. What we don't remember is although 'everything' does need to change, it does NOT have to change all at the SAME time!

And a good place to start solving one problem at a time is to start accepting the fact that we do have a problem. Only after that can you either solve it if it is in your control or at-least let the people who can solve the problems know about it.

Do we do it now, even if we have identified a problem and want to see it resolved with all our hearts? Well, we don't. At best we curse "the system" and we go back, right.

This is where Cityzen comes in, we are making it really easy to report these small, insignificant looking problems. And we have these people of position waiting to resolve your valid issues. All they need from us is just some feedback. It could be positive feedback or it could even be negative feedback (not Negative rants or cursing, just respectful feedback), we all need that feedback to encourage us to keep on doing whatever good that we have done.
